Note: A Laptop is required to be able to take exams in class. If a
student does not have a Laptop, rental Laptops will be made available to each
student for an additional cost of $25.00 per exam.
For Non College Credit: Students wishing to enroll into the EMT Basic Program
and who do not wish to receive college credits will enroll directly with the
Center for EMS Training.
Tuition Fees and Policy
Application Fee is due at time of registration. Tuition is expected to be paid
in full by the first scheduled class. Payment may be made by Cash, Certified
Check, Money Order, Visa, MasterCard or Discover Card. Students enrolling where
fees are paid by the employer / agency must submit written authorization or
valid purchase order with the students’ application. Student application fees
are non refundable ($550.00). Full tuition will be refunded if withdrawn 5 days
prior to the beginning of the course. There will be no refunds for withdrawals
once the program has begun.
Application Process
The completed student application form, tuition and all supporting
documentation should be submitted as soon as possible to reserve class position
to include:
1. Proof of age as evidenced by a copy of the students drivers license or
certified birth certificate.
2. Copy of a current AHA BLS for Healthcare Provider 2010 Guidelines or ARC
Professional Rescuer certification card 2010 Guidelines.
Pre-requisite
1. The minimum age for course enrollment is 16 years of age at the start of the
training program. Students less than 18 years of age attending the course must
provide documentation from an officer of their agency if applicable and the
signature of a parent or legal guardian verifying their approval of the student
attending the course.
2. Be proficient in reading, writing and speaking the English language.
3. Be of sound physical and mental condition, capable of performing all
assigned duties. Have no physical defect, which would render the student unable
to perform all practical skills required for this level of training.
4. Hold a current certification in an approved course in Cardiopulmonary
Resuscitation (Healthcare Provider CPR or Professional Rescuer).
5. Have never been convicted of a felony under the laws of this State or of the
United States
6. Have never been founded on Child, Domestic or Elderly Abuse.
7. Have never had an EMS License or Certificate revoked or suspended by any
certifying agency.
